On April 27, 2012, Fire Fighter Kristopher Shearer of the York Area United Fire and Rescue and Fire Fighter Ryan Brenneman of the Manchester Township Department of Fire Services graduated from the HACC 46th Fire Academy.
On April 24th, 25th and 26th, YAUFR personnel completed live burn scenarios at the York County Fire School.
On April 13, 2012, Units from Company 89, 19 and other surrounding departments responded to 272 Edgehill Road in Spring Garden Township for a reported house fire.

On February 16, 2011, York Area United Fire and Rescue (YAUFR) Chairman William H. Schenck was the keynote speaker for the York City Rotary Club.
The history and success of the Department, as well as future opportunities were presented to the members at their monthly meeting at the York Fairgrounds. Fire Chief Robert McCoy and members of the YAUFR Fire Commission were in attendance to represent the Department.
